On 11 – 12 October, the Uththamavi team and SEFEC’s Social Responsibility Officer visited PSs of Hambantota district to conduct individual meetings with women committees.
Meetings were conducted in Saputhantrikanda, Kinchigune, Julampitiya and Kadigamuwa (North) PSs. New women committees were formed and common agendas were introduced to induct future women’s committees.
Of special note is that the PS membership of Uththamavi had reached 71 members at the end of October.
