Sri Lankan Farming: Visitors’ perspectives

This writers’ collective, as a part of the 'Smart Farmer Project,’ brings stories from people passing through the world of agriculture. They are the stories of those who haven’t formally had the chance to dive into the farming lifestyle and are only now dipping their toes in the deeply intricate culture of farming in Sri Lanka. They write about their interactions with farmers and agriculture officers, recollecting their experience of walking through a process and culture of cultivation. They hope to rejuvenate interest in agriculture among ordinary people, and bring them closer to the farmers that feed the nation.
