Udakahahena Sanasa Society is one of the 54 societies which was picked for the SEFEC project. This is the birthplace of the first ‘Pepper value chain society’, started with 55 farmers, and 15 model farmers were hand-picked to receive the organic certification, free of charge. Around 50 acres of land was inspected for the Organic Certification, this was facilitated by SEFEC with the support of CBL foods and the Control Union.
